For years, Elena Valentina worked with leading jewelry houses, mastering her craft and studying the industry closely. She admired the artistry, but she also saw what was missing: authenticity. Too often, jewelry was sold at inflated prices, built on marketing illusions and glamorous storefronts, while true sustainability and responsibility were overlooked.
In 2008, Elena stepped away from the big brands and began her journey from a small garage workshop in Chicago. With her experience and her dream, she founded Valentina Rings — a house dedicated to perfection, rare design, and conscious craftsmanship.
At first, she carefully sourced natural diamonds, ensuring only the finest made it into her work. But in 2016, after years inside the trade, she realized that the Kimberley Process — widely marketed as a safeguard against conflict diamonds — was little more than a shield for large mining corporations. To Elena, this was unacceptable. Jewelry should symbolize love, not exploitation.
So she made a defining choice: to shift Valentina Rings entirely to lab-grown diamonds and moissanite. Stones that held the same brilliance and durability, but without the scars of mining. It was not just a material change; it was a transformation in values.
In her lifetime, Elena created only 194 unique pieces — each one a testament to her pursuit of perfection and meaning. In 2020, she passed away, leaving behind not just a brand, but a philosophy: luxury must be both beautiful and responsible.
To carry forward her legacy, Valentina Rings launched its online store in 2022, opening its doors to customers across the United States. Today, every design continues Elena’s vision — crafted in fine solid gold, set with sustainable brilliance, and made to feel like it belongs to you, and only you.
